JOB PROFILE

Reporting to GM Production

Generating the daily melting schedule, ensuring proper preparations are made before pouring. i. e process control in melting. Relining and sintering of induction furnace and operation of the induction furnace.

Managing the workmen for achieving the periodic production targets in Grey iron/S.G.iron foundry.

Planning & executing the Shop-floor operations Like Induction Melting; Charge calculation, melt composition adjustment, metal treatment, pouring. Moulding; Maintaining the Quality and quantity of mould and moulding sand. Ensuring sand plant activities. Ensuring Heat treatment activities like Annealing, and Tempering. Centrifugal casting, and all other Foundry related activities in Grey
Iron/ S. G. Iron foundry.

Ensuring regular preventive maintenance of machine to ensure smooth running in the shift.

Organizing help for the operator in rectifying machine problem at the time of breakdown.

 Planning BOM & raw material procurement schedules for ensuring seamless production function.

Identifying scope for modifications in process for controlling & reducing costs per unit

Handling operations for improvement in existing products based on market trends & requirements.

i) Melting power consumption reduced 8 units/ton of molten metal.
ii) Reduced the melting charge material cost by varying the charge material   proportions

 iii) Reduced the melting rejection from 1.5% to 0.5%
iv) Given many suggestions to reduce the foundry rejection

SG800/2, GGG40.3), Grey iron (FG260, FG220, FG 300)
& Steel (BS3100, IS 1030), EN 31.

Moulding system Expertise: Furan sand system, Silicate bonded, sand system), CO2
moulding core, making (Furan sand system, Part ABC),
& closing. Operation of high pressure molding machines
Such as HFM 30, AGM 2040 Producing molds, placing of cores, changing the patterns, maintaining the mold height as per the process sheet.
